For Mandela day this year we wanted to highlight one of our team members whose empathy and compassion inspired a wonderful project. Haygrove joined forces with Paarl School in Brackenfell and Change for the Better to collect supplies for animals in need.
Change for the Better Foundation focuses on improving the health and living conditions of animals in environments where that is not being provided for them. The foundation funds a no-kill animal shelter, sterilization drives and rehoming of rescued animals.
Henry Zeelie became involved in this Foundation through his wife who mentors learners from Paarl School who were involved with the Change for the Better Foundation through community service. “As it is such a worthy cause I just needed to get involved to help our 4-legged friends. So, I approached Haygrove and asked if they would consider donating any food, blankets etc.”
Haygrove has committed to match any donations received by Haygrove employees for this cause. Thank you, Henry, for inspiring all of us to give back wherever we can.
